We are searching for a flexible, motivated, dynamic, energetic and inspiring team member to support the German Cluster (Germany/Austria) with immediate effect. The position is located in Munich, Germany.

Responsible for the Inventory teams in Germany & Austria. Effectively oversee and manage merchandise and shipping procedures in order to maintain complete and accurate inventory levels. Oversee and support Security in cooperation with the stores and our teams in UK/US. Support company’s visions and goals as well as meeting profitability targets and maintaining appropriate business controls.


Manage and Develop Staff

  • Support Store Manager functionally to ensure smooth running of day to day business inventory / operations team
  • Drive the implementation of standardized processes. Create a common understanding of efficient work principles, leveraging best practices and IT systems. Contribute to and facilitate system implementations and process changes. Train and support all levels and act as multiplier of best practice methods.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the team to ensure buy-in, roll out and efficient support in-store
  • Document current and to be processes to allow for simplified training and stand-in activities.
  • Coordinate and prioritize resources: Own the facilitation of the local/regional Leadership Steering Committee to agree, prioritize, plan, coordinate and follow up on all process improvement activities. Ensure focus on best customer experience and adherence to policies.
  • Ensure Policies and Procedures as well as local guidelines are being communicated and followed by the team, in cooperation with store management
  • Support in preparation in update the Job Descriptions as well as e-PMP for the team

Responsible for Inventory Management

  • Act as Liaison between the Cluster and the Region: Help drive leverage of process excellence. Build and maintain close relationship with regional Process Owners.
  • Cycle Count planning & coordination for Germany & Austria
  • PI planning & coordination for Germany & Austria
  • Oversee the Borrowed Merchandise process
  • Oversee JDE adjustments and issues to manage accurate store inventory levels
  • Provide support to manage “kick out” reports to ensure sales are processed correctly and store inventory levels are correct
  • Coordinate and finally update price changes for Germany & Austria
  • Support in daily business as needed

Oversee the Procurement of Merchandise from the US and other Intl. Branches for Retail and all other Channels of Business

  • Ensure all transfers and customer orders are wrapped, shipped and received in accordance with TCO standards and our local controls
  • Manage relationship with local carrier and customs agencies
  • Give support with credits, bill only’s and discrepancies
  • Support in daily business as needed
  • Create or edit existing World Writer Reports to support the stores and to oversee Inventory statistics 

Responsible for Security issues in cooperation with local Store Management and Regional Security

  • Manage construction and facility related projects
  • Ensure that all in-store procedures as well as special outside events are in accordance with our policies and guidelines
  • Establish and maintain an open line of communication between local Store Management and Regional Security
  • Work with local Security companies
  • Provide in-store training for security topics when necessary
  • Oversee Personal Conveyance procedures / trainings

Cross-Functional Teaming

  • Work with local offices as well as international offices and the U.S. to support the initiatives and efforts of the stores
  • Approve Inventory related invoices from third party vendors for all stores in Germany & Austria in Esker
  • Support Finance in Inventory related reconciliation processes
  • Event support
  • Support store management in Custom Design and Statement Council requests
  • Identify saving potentials in transport and facility management
  • Take care of quarterly audit checklist

Customer Service

  • Oversee customer service processing for both local and US in cooperation with Retail
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification
  • Project Portfolio Management experience
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of team leadership within a large-scale, rapid and process-driven environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Very strong analytical skill, with ability to translate operational issues into workable solutions. Able to dive deep whilst seeing the big picture.
  • Continuous Improvement skills
  • Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft XP (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and MIPS
  • Didactic skills and experience.
  • Working proficiency in German (business) and English (Business)


Preferred Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of local import/export regulation
  • IT knowledge
  • Retail industry experience (luxury jewelry preferred)
